On Monday, skies will be mostly cloudy, although they will clear at times, allowing sunshine to break through. Brief showers are expected across much of the country, with thunderstorms developing in some areas and bringing heavy downpours. A moderate westerly wind will blow, becoming gusty along the coast, while strong wind gusts are also possible inland during thunderstorms. Daytime temperatures will range from +16°C to +21°C, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
During the night into Tuesday, isolated rain clouds will persist, with thunderstorms possible in parts of northern Latvia. A broader precipitation zone will begin crossing the country on Tuesday night, bringing prolonged rainfall to some areas that will continue into Wednesday. Light to moderate southwesterly to southerly winds will prevail before gradually shifting to northwesterly and northerly from the middle of the night on Wednesday. Coastal areas will remain windy with gusty conditions. On Tuesday morning, fog may develop in parts of Kurzeme where winds are lighter, reducing visibility. Night-time temperatures will fall to +10°C to +15°C, while daytime highs will reach +15°C to +20°C.
During the second half of the week, conditions will remain predominantly cloudy and rainy. On Thursday, northwesterly to northerly winds will continue, with gusts of 15–17 m/s expected along the coast, although winds will gradually ease toward the weekend. Temperatures on Thursday and Friday will remain similar to earlier in the week. However, warmer air is forecast to move into Latvia by the weekend, bringing milder conditions on Saturday and Sunday that are expected to continue into the beginning of next week, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
