Latvian PM proposes punishing doctors who advice people to not vaccinate

Medical institutions should punish the doctors that have advised residents to not vaccinated for Covid-19, said Latvian Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš in an interview to TV3 programme 900 seconds.
He admits «most doctors work day and night to save our lives, but there are also those who motivate people towards scientifically unjustified and harmful behaviour». «I believe these people should be penalized. Medical association should consider if they are even fit for their posts,» said the PM.
The head of the Latvian government asked if a person with medical education is even fit to continue working in the medical field if he or she recommends to their patients to not vaccinate for Covid-19 without any scientific or medically justified reasons.
