Latvian minister suggests blacklisting 20 culture workers for supporting Putin’s actions

Latvia’s Minister of Culture Nauris Puntulis invites the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to blacklist more than 20 Russian culture workers, as confirmed by the minister’s advisor for public affairs Inga Vasiļjeva.
She reports that, considering the pro-Kremlin event held at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow on 18 March, which was dedicated to the annexation of Crimea and in support of Russia’s war in Ukraine, Latvia’s Minister of Culture has turned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with a suggestion to blacklist performers who took part in this event and prohibit them from entering Latvia.
Vasiļjeva said performers who previously voiced support of Russia’s initiated war in Ukraine, which is a breach of international law and should be punished on the highest level, should be added to the list.
The minister of culture believes the following people should be added to Latvia’s list of personae non gratae: Polina Gagarina, Sergei Zhukov, Aleksey Potehin, Timur Yunusov, Nikolai Rastorguyev, Vitaly Loktev, Aleksandr Yerohin, Sergei Pereguda, Dmitry Streltsov, Aleksey Tarasov, Pavel Suchkov, Aleksey Kantur, Natalia Podolskaya, Vladimir Mashkov, Dmitri Pevtsov, Nikita Mikhalkov, Ilze Liepa, Viktoriya Ciganova, Stanislav Mikhailov, Valery Gergigiyev and others.
