Workers of Latvian State Revenue Service to receive bonuses

According to information from the Legislation Portal, it is planned to pay workers of the State Revenue Service (VID) a bonus – EUR 22 784.
The Ministry of Finance explains that the bonus is planned to be paid to VID officials whose work helped uncover and prevent large-scale criminal offences, such as substantial money laundering, in the field of state revenue and tax administration and helped increase state budget revenue.
Information about the recipients of bonuses and the crimes they helped uncover is confidential.
It is planned to pay a bonus to three workers worth three monthly wages (EUR 2 155, EUR 1 995 and EUR 1 995). A total of EUR 18 435 is planned to be paid out. EUR 4 349 is the amount planned to be paid in state social insurance contributions.
