VIDEO | Turbulent night across Russia as drones strike multiple targets

Ukraine’s Defense Forces reportedly used domestically produced “Flamingo” (FP-5) long-range missiles to attack the VNIIR-Progress military manufacturing plant in Cheboksary, the capital of Russia’s Chuvash Republic, according to Dialog.UA, citing social media posts and messaging platform reports.
Based on numerous photographs and videos circulating online, at least two Flamingo missiles struck the VNIIR-Progress facility. Explosions and fires were reported on the factory grounds, causing damage to several buildings.
The head of the Chuvash Republic, Oleg Nikolayev, acknowledged that strategic facilities in Cheboksary came under aerial attack during the night of June 10. He stated that the number of damaged facilities was still being assessed.
The VNIIR-Progress plant manufactures navigation equipment and components used in cruise and ballistic missiles, including the Iskander-M, as well as various types of drones, including the Shahed drone. The company also specializes in satellite receivers and antennas for Russia’s GLONASS navigation network, as well as anti-electronic warfare antenna systems.

Ukrainian forces have targeted the facility on several previous occasions, including in February 2026.

At the same time, Ukrainian drones reportedly attacked the Novokuybyshevsk Oil Refinery in Russia’s Samara region, one of the country’s largest oil-processing facilities, according to Dialog.UA.

According to open-source intelligence (OSINT) channels, a major fire broke out at the refinery following the strike. Videos posted online show thick black smoke and large flames rising from the site.
Witnesses reported seeing drones flying overhead and hearing multiple explosions near the refinery before the attack. Regional authorities subsequently warned residents of an aerial threat.

The refinery is part of Rosneft and has a processing capacity of up to nine million tonnes of crude oil annually.

It produces fuel and petroleum products for both civilian and military purposes.
Ukrainian drones also reportedly targeted strategic facilities in Russia’s Rostov region during the night of the 10th of June. According to preliminary information cited by Dialog.UA, oil infrastructure was among the targets.
Shortly after midnight, air-raid sirens were activated across parts of the Rostov region, followed by reports of explosions in multiple districts.
Rostov Governor Yury Slyusar confirmed that regional facilities had come under aerial attack. He stated that in the Millerovo district, “a fuel tank caught fire after debris from a downed drone fell onto a facility.”

Emergency services evacuated some local residents.

Drones also reportedly struck targets in the Verkhnedonskoy, Chertkovsky, and Sholokhovsky districts.
According to statements from regional authorities, the attack affected infrastructure connected to Russia’s fuel supply network. Ukraine has repeatedly stated that such facilities are considered legitimate military targets because of their role in supporting Russian military operations.
The Millerovo district is home to several strategic military sites, including an air base used by Russian tactical aviation involved in operations against Ukraine. The facility has previously been targeted by Ukrainian forces.
Explosions were also reported in Russia’s Vladimir region and several other locations, according to Ukrainian defense adviser, volunteer, and blogger Serhiy Sternenko. He claimed that the Vtorovo oil pumping station had once again come under attack, resulting in a fire.
Local authorities also reported an attack on another oil infrastructure facility in the region, although its identity had not yet been officially confirmed.
