Ukraine, which continues its fight against pro-Russia rebels in the less active Donbas War, has received about 80 tonnes of ammunition from the US, according to Ukrinform news agency.
Last weekend, the shipment of ammunition was delivered at the Boryspil International Airport outside Kyiv. The US Embassy in Ukraine announced: «Ukraine received today the delivery of approximately 80,000 kilos of ammunition from the United States. It was the fourth shipment made by the United States as part of $60 million in additional security assistance directed to Ukraine by President Biden in August.»

American diplomats noted that the move demonstrates US «commitment to the success of a stable, democratic, and free Ukraine» and that Washington had provided more than USD 2.5 billion in security assistance to Ukraine since 2014. The year 2014 was, when Russia annexed Ukraine’s Crime and the Donbas War broke out, which has not yet ended until November 2021.
Recently, Ukraine has received from Washington USD 60 million in medical supplies, ammunition, high-precision weapons, and radar surveillance, Ukrinform reports.
