U.S. investment company Blackstone becomes owner of 80.05% of Luminor Holding shares

After purchasing 11.6% of Luminor Holding shares from Nordea, U.S. investment company Blackstone now owns 80% of Luminor Bank’s subsidiary – Luminor Holding – shares, as confirmed by Luminor Bank representatives.
In 2018 DNB Bank ASA (DNB) and Nordea Bank Abp (Nordea) signed an agreement on the sale of 60.1% of Luminor Holding shares to Blackstone-led private equity fund consortium.
DNB and Nordea each retained 19.95% of shares, and Blackstone expressed an interest in acquiring Nordea’s remaining shares, as reported by Luminor Bank.
In December 2021 Blackstone acquired 8.4% of Luminor Holding shares from Nordea. Now Blackstone has the remaining 11.6% from Nordea.

Blackstone currently owns 80.05% of Luminor Holdings shares. DNB retains the remaining 19.95%.
