Tuesday and Wednesday will bring variable cloud cover across Latvia, with sunny spells in some areas. Localised rain clouds may develop during the night on Tuesday, but both days are expected to remain largely dry, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre (LVĢMC).
Fog is expected to develop in eastern Latvia overnight into Wednesday and during the morning, reducing visibility.
Light to moderate southerly and southeasterly winds will prevail, although gusts of up to 14 metres per second may still occur in coastal areas during the early hours of Tuesday.
During Tuesday night, temperatures across most of Latvia will fall to between +4°C and +8°C, while coastal areas will remain warmer, with readings of +8°C to +11°C.
Overnight temperatures on Wednesday are expected to be approximately one degree lower.
During the daytime, temperatures will range from +9°C to +13°C.
Weather conditions are expected to remain generally calm throughout the rest of the week.
Skies will be mostly cloudy, with occasional clearer periods, while winds will generally remain light.
However, rain is expected to return at some point in almost every region.
Temperatures are unlikely to change significantly, with both daytime highs and overnight lows remaining close to the levels recorded earlier in the week.
