Tuesday’s Covid-19 cases in Baltics. 311 in Latvia, 705 in Lithuania, 391 in Estonia

A total of 311 new Covid-19 infection cases were registered in Latvia in the last 24 hours, to the morning of Tuesday, September 7. 242 of the infected residents were either not vaccinated or have not yet completed their vaccination course. 69 new patients were vaccinated, however.
The latest data on Estonia showed a total of 144 392 confirmed coronavirus patients since the beginning of the pandemic. 391 new patients were registered over the past day.
1 305 people have died from the virus in Estonia so far.
The latest data from Lithuania showed 303 692 confirmed coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic with an increase 705 new cases over the past day.
The number of deaths caused by coronavirus complications has reached 4 618 in Lithuania.
45 396 Covid-19 tests were performed in Latvia in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Latvian Disease Prevention and Monitoring Centre, which means the percentage of positive tests in 0.7%. So far, 2 592 people have died from Covid-19 in Latvia and 138 549 have recovered.
The centre reports that the 14-day cumulative infection index per 100 000 residents is 193.1.

Data from the European Disease Prevention and Control Centre shows that Latvia currently has one of the lowest infection indexes in Europe.
