During the night into Tuesday, the sky will be partly cloudy, with occasional short-term rain in some areas. With light winds blowing, fog will form in certain regions. Air temperatures will drop to between +3°C and +8°C. During the day, the weather will be sunny, although clouds may occasionally cover the sky, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
Although there may still be some rain in eastern parts of the country in the morning, the day overall will be mostly dry. An easterly wind will blow, so in coastal areas, especially from Kolka to Jūrmala, temperatures will not rise above +7°C to +12°C. Elsewhere in the country, sunshine will warm the air to between +17°C and +22°C.
On Wednesday morning, cloud cover will increase from the southwest as a small precipitation zone begins to move across Latvia, bringing brief showers to many parts of the country. A light to moderate wind will blow from the east and southeast, and fog may form in some areas. The night will be mild, with minimum temperatures expected to range from +7°C to +12°C, slightly cooler in the east where temperatures will drop to +6°C to +8°C. During the day, temperatures will rise to +15°C to +19°C, while in the Gulf of Riga coastal areas of Kurzeme, it will be cooler at +9°C to +11°C.
Toward the end of the workweek, only isolated showers are expected, with the weather remaining mostly dry overall. It will become even warmer, especially on Friday. Nighttime minimum temperatures will range from +6°C to +13°C. On Thursday, temperatures across the country—except along the coast—will reach between +20°C and +25°C, and on Good Friday, the sun is expected to heat the air to between +25°C and +27°C in many areas. As a result, some new warmth records may potentially be broken.
