On Friday and Saturday, sunny spells will frequently alternate with clouds, while the weather will remain dry. Light winds will prevail on both days, meaning fog will thicken in some areas overnight and during the early morning hours, reducing visibility, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
Across most of Latvia, overnight temperatures will fall to between +3°C and +8°C, while coastal areas will remain warmer at +8°C to +12°C. During the day, sunshine will warm the air to between +15°C and +20°C.
Sunday will also bring variable cloud cover, although clouds will bring rain to some western areas in the afternoon.
Light to moderate south-westerly and westerly winds will prevail.
Overnight temperatures will fall to between +9°C and +13°C,
while daytime temperatures will not exceed +15°C to +17°C.
Next week, as the influence of a cyclone strengthens, cloud cover will increase and rain will fall at some point in almost all regions.
South-westerly and westerly winds will also strengthen and become gusty in some areas.
Overnight temperatures will not change significantly and will remain within a similar range to those expected at the end of the week. During the day, however, conditions will become cooler, with maximum temperatures ranging from +12°C to +17°C.
