On Tuesday, the 6th of October, light rain is expected only in the eastern and central regions of Latvia, with skies gradually clearing in the afternoon. Southwesterly and westerly winds will continue to strengthen, reaching gust speeds of up to 15–18 m/s across a wider area, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
Overnight, temperatures will not drop below 11°C, while daytime highs will reach +14…+17°C.
Wednesday will see partly cloudy skies, but the day will remain dry. Westerly and southwesterly winds will gradually subside, although they will remain gusty along the eastern coast of the Gulf of Riga during the early part of the night. From the afternoon onwards, light winds are expected across the entire country. Overnight temperatures will cool to +6…+8°C, with warmer conditions along the coast (+8…+13°C).
Daytime highs will range from +14°C to +17°C.
No significant precipitation is expected on Thursday either, though skies will gradually cloud over from the west in the afternoon. With light winds prevailing, fog will form in some areas overnight. From the latter part of the night, a light to moderate southeasterly or easterly wind will set in. Towards the end of the week, a new cyclone will approach Latvia from the west, bringing rainier days. The wind will once again tend to strengthen and become gusty. Daytime temperatures will no longer exceed +14°C.
