Russian university hit by shooting attack, authorities say

In Russia, eight people have been killed and 24 injured in a shooting incident at a regional university, Russian state news agency TASS reports.
The tragic events unfolded in the Perm State University on Monday, September 20, the Russian Health Ministry and the Russian Investigative Committee told TASS.

«According to the Federal Centre for Disaster Medicine, as of 11:27 am Moscow time, eight people died in the incident at the Perm State University, 24 people were injured and are being treated, 19 of them have gunshot wounds,» TASS quoted the report.
The press service, evidently of the Russian Health Ministry, added that 25 medical teams are working at the site. The Russian Investigative Committee stated that on September 20, a student opened fire on the territory of the Perm State University. The gunman was detained, his identity has been established, TASS reports.
