Russian invader casualties in Ukraine reach 4 500, Kiev says

Russia’s war against Ukraine has cost the invaders around 4 500 troops in casualties over the first four days of fighting, Ukrainian presidential office has said as quoted by public broadcaster Ukrinform.
The data as of 18:00 on Sunday, February 27, were given by Oleksiy Arestovych, a freelance adviser to the head of the Ukrainian President’s Office on Ukrainian Rada TV channel, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

«The losses of enemy personnel amounted to about 4,500 people killed and wounded. That’s about 1,500 killed and 3,000 wounded, according to our preliminary estimates. Some 27 aircraft were destroyed and damaged, data are being clarified after night raids, as well as 26 helicopters, about 150 tanks, more than 700 armoured personnel carriers, about 50 guns, one Buk air defence system, four MLRS-21 Grad, 60 refuelling tanks, two UAVs of operational and tactical level, and two ships and boats,» Arestovych stated.
As to Ukrainian defence the presidential office adviser noted that new forces are coming to the Ukrainian Armed Forces – more than 100,000 reservists have joined the ranks of defenders, and the tactics of territorial defence forces produce its own results. Currently, there was no threat to large Ukrainian cities as the Ukrainian State Security Service was fighting invading groups of saboteurs, Ukrinform reports.
