Rimi allows adding bottle deposit fee returns to customer loyalty card balance

From now on Rimi Latvia LLC network of retail stores will allow clients to add the beverage container deposit fee returns to their customer loyalty card balance.
The project was developed through coordination between Rimi and “Depozīta iepakojuma operators” LLC and beverage container deposit system operator “Tomra Collection Latvia” LLC.
Rimi is currently the only retail network in Latvia that offers this option. The option to donate coupons from bottle deposits or use them to pay for purchases will remain.
The company explains: “To add the deposit fee return to their “Mans Rimi” card balance, customers have to download a Rimi app and access their profile. Using this app, customers have to scan the QR code of the bottle deposit machine, put in their bottles and push the “Finish” button. The deposit fee will then be added to their customer loyalty card balance.”
