Riga City Council to sign three-year contract with Ghetto Games

Riga City Council plans to sign a three-year contract with Ghetto Games for the organisation of various events, according to the legislative project supported by the city council’s Education, Culture and Sports Committee.
The municipality will support various sports, active leisure and youth activities organised by Ghetto Games in Riga from 2024 to 2026.

Every year, the municipality will provide co-financing of EUR 100 000 for various activities.

The final decision on the signing of the contract will need to be made by Riga City Council.
LETA previously reported that Riga City Council decided to transfer part of Grīziņkalns for free use to the association “Streetbasket” for another five years.
According to information from Firmas.lv, Streetbasked association was founded in 2009. Its officials include Ieva Gulbe, Anna Gulbe and Raimonds Elbakjans.
