On Thursday, skies will be cloudy with some clear spells. Overnight into Thursday, a precipitation zone will cross Latvia from the west, bringing rain to most of the country, with heavy rainfall possible in some eastern areas, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
During the day, periods of rain are expected in many areas. Light to moderate southerly and south-westerly winds will prevail, gradually shifting to the south-west and west from the west of the country overnight and in the morning. Winds will be gusty along the coast.
Overnight temperatures will fall to +11°C to +15°C, while daytime highs will range from +15°C to +18°C.
Light rain is expected in some areas overnight into Friday, while rain will reach Kurzeme in the afternoon. On Saturday, periods of rain are expected across most of the country.
Light to moderate southerly and south-westerly winds will prevail on both days.
On Friday, gusty winds will be limited mainly to coastal areas, while on Saturday gusts are also expected across a wider area of Kurzeme.
Overnight into Friday, temperatures will fall to +8°C to +11°C, although it will be warmer along the coast. Overnight into Saturday, temperatures across the country will range from +11°C to +16°C. Daytime temperatures will reach +16°C to +20°C.
Towards the end of the week, gusty winds will spread across a wider area, while rain is expected in almost all parts of Latvia.
Temperatures are expected to become slightly cooler at the beginning of the new week.
