On Tuesday, the 12th of May, skies will mostly remain cloudy. Rain is expected at times overnight in western regions and during the day across many parts of the country, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
A light to moderate southerly wind will blow. During the night, temperatures will fall to between +7°C and +11°C, while eastern regions will see cooler temperatures of +3°C to +7°C. During the day, temperatures will rise to +10°C…+15°C, while in eastern Latvia they may reach +15°C…+19°C.
Wednesday will remain cloudy, although skies may begin clearing in some western areas by the evening. Rain is expected to continue in many places, and thunderstorms are also possible in eastern regions.
Winds will remain light, while fog may thicken in some areas during the night and morning, reducing visibility. Nighttime temperatures will range between +7°C and +12°C. During the day, temperatures in western and central regions will rise to +8°C…+11°C, while eastern areas will warm to +12°C…+16°C.
On Thursday, skies will remain mostly cloudy, gradually clearing during the night,
while daytime conditions will feature variable cloud cover.
During the first half of the night, rain is expected in some eastern regions, while from the afternoon rainfall is forecast in western Latvia. Winds will remain light.
Nighttime temperatures will fall to between +3°C and +6°C, while daytime temperatures will rise to +13°C…+16°C, although coastal areas of Kurzeme will remain slightly cooler at +10°C…+13°C.
In the second half of the week, temperatures are expected to remain similar to those at the beginning of the week, with daytime temperatures in many places reaching close to +20°C.
Rain clouds will continue crossing the country, bringing precipitation to some areas.
