Moscow reports losing Emergencies Minister in tragic accident

In Russian Arctic, the country’s Emergencies Minister Yevgeny Zinichev, has died during training, Russian state news agency TASS reports.
The Russian Emergencies Ministry reported on Wednesday, September 8, that the tragic drills took place in the Arctic city of Norilsk.

«We regret to report that the head of the Emergencies Ministry, Yevgeny Zinichev, tragically died rescuing a human life as he was fulfilling his duty in Norilsk during the inter-agency drills on protecting the Arctic zone from emergency situations,» the ministry announced, as quoted by TASS.
The official was born in 1966 in the then Soviet Russia. Being a long-time worker of Russian state security agencies. In 2016, he was appointed deputy head of Russia’s Federal Security Service. Assuming the post of the Russian Emergencies Minister followed in 2018.
