Minister: the pressure on the Latvian-Belarusian border is low at the moment

Currently there «isn’t much pressure» on the Latvian-Belarusian border what with attempts by [Aleksandr] Lukashenko’s regime to force people into Latvia, said Latvian Minister of the Interior Marija Golubeva at the 13 October meeting of Saeima’s Parliamentary Inquiry Committee.
The current pressure on the border is measured at up to 25 people a day, which is less than the numbers observed in August, explained the minister. Golubeva said interior affairs services remain on high alert.
The politician says pressure is the highest on the Polish-Belarusian border and Lithuanian-Belarusian border.
