Meteorologists promise warmer weather in Latvia; weekend to be rainy

Both at the end of the week and next week weather in Latvia is expected to be rainy. A wide precipitation zone will pass through Latvia on Saturday and Sunday. Showers are expected in all of Latvia. Although the night to Saturday will be the coldest and air temperature will drop below 0° C in north-eastern parts of the country, from Sunday onward nights will start getting warmer again, according to Latvian State Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
On Friday, 4 November, the sky will be cloudy with moments of clear sky in some areas, mostly western areas. At night some rain is expected in eastern parts of the country. No precipitation is expected during the day. Maximum daytime air temperature is expected at +5° C… +10° C.
Weather will be cloudy across the weekend with moments of clear sky. As the north-eastern portion of a cyclone approaches, a wide precipitation zone will pass through from the west. Many parts of Latvia will experience showers on Saturday and Sunday. Wind speed will be slow to moderate. Wind speed will be strong along the coast on Saturday, however.
Minimal air temperature is expected at +1° C… +7° C (a couple of degrees warmer along the coast). In north-eastern parts of the country air temperature may drop to 0° C… -2° C. Daytime air temperature will reach +6° C… +11° C.
On Monday the amount of clouds will gradually increase. Weather will remain cloudy on Tuesday as well. There are also local showers expected. The wind will remain slow to moderate. Air temperature at night will be at +4° C… +10° C, whereas daytime air temperature is expected to stay within +6° C… +12° C.
According to current forecasts, it will continue raining in the middle of the week. On Wednesday and Thursday the wind will be slow to moderate. Air temperature during the day and at night will stay between +5° C… +11° C.
