«Dear Fellow People of Lithuania,
Tonight, as we count down the last moments of the old year, I want to thank you. To thank those who have encouraged each other, who have brought communities together and who have made a sincere effort to help another, often a complete stranger, during this challenging time. Each of us individually and all of us together, we have once again shown the strength of Lithuania.
May this evening mark a new beginning for each and everyone of us. Let us embark on a journey, feeling inspired all over again, and may the hope of better times bring us closer together!
Let us be strong and look ahead with confidence as we welcome in the New Year. May 2022 be a year of noble goals and consistent action for us!
Happy New Year!»
