Latvian PM: we can sleep soundly, our country is secure

Latvia’s Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš said as much in an interview to TV3 this morning.
The PM was asked if there are reasons to be concerned about possible separatist trends in actions of certain regional politicians. He said the country is secure because Latvia has capable security services, adding that their capacity continues to grow.

We have vaccines for anti-governmental activities and those vaccines are very strong,

added the PM. As for Latvia’s struggle against the continued hybrid attack coming from Belarus using migrants, Kariņš promised the country’s services will continue tightly monitoring the border.
According to him, by coordinating efforts with neighbouring countries it may be possible to replace the ongoing state of emergency with some other legal solution. He said «we will hold our border».
