King Charles III visits US; will defend democratic values

King Charles III and Queen Camilla have arrived in the US to begin a four-day official visit, the first since Queen Elizabeth II visited the US in 2007, writes the BBC.
Security is particularly tight at US President Donald Trump’s media dinner after the incident on the evening of the 25th of April. King Charles III will address Congress on the 28th of April, and is expected to express support after the attack. The address to Congress will focus on a call for renewed cooperation between the US and Britain, and will urge the defense of shared values ​​​​of tolerance, freedom and equality.
According to sources, King Charles III will speak about defending these interests, whether through support for NATO or the protection of Ukraine.
On the 27th of April, upon arrival at an air force base in Maryland, the royal couple were greeted by Monica Crowley, the US chief of protocole, and Christian Turner, the British ambassador to the US. Two children gave flowers to the couple, and both the US and British national anthems were played. The royal couple then went to the White House to meet Trump and the first lady. After tea, the king and queen toured the new White House apiary. This part of the visit was a special tribute to Charles III, who is an enthusiastic supporter of beekeeping.

On the 28th of April, Charles III will address both houses of the US Congress. The previous address was given by Queen Elizabeth II in 1991.
