Fuel prices in Latvia reach record heights

Last week fuel prices continued increasing in Riga and Vilnius. In Tallinn, on the other hand, the price rise had stopped, according to data from LETA.
Last week petrol remained the most expensive in Tallinn, followed by Riga and Vilnius. Diesel fuel, on the other hand, was the most expensive in Riga and the cheapest in Vilnius.
The price of 95th brand petrol at Circle K petrol station in Riga, Krasta Street increased 0.7% – reaching 1.514 EUR/l, exceeding the previous price record at this petrol station. Data compiled by LETA shows that so far the highest price observed at Circle K petrol station on Krasta Street was 1.507 or 1.059 LVL/l in 2012.
The price of diesel fuel has increased 0.7% over the course of the week – to 1.414 EUR/l.
In Vilnius the price of 95 brand petrol increased 1.4% – to 1.446 EUR/l, whereas the price of diesel fuel increased 2.3% – to 1.356 EUR/l.
At the same time, the fuel price in Tallinn remained stable last week after more than a month-long growth. The price of 95th brand petrol at Circle K petrol stations was 1.584 EUR/l and the price of diesel fuel was 1.374 EUR/l a week ago.
The price of car gas remains unchanged in Riga and Vilnius: 0.765 EUR/l and 0.769 EUR/l respectively. The price of car gas in Tallinn dropped 1.3% – to 0.76 EUR/l.
