Wednesday will be mostly cloudy, with occasional sunbeams breaking through the cloud cover in some areas. Just like during the night, light rain is expected at times throughout the day, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
Fog will also form in certain regions. A light wind will blow mostly from the west. During daylight hours, air temperatures will remain between +4°C and +9°C.
On Thursday and Friday, the weather will remain cloudy, but the sun will shine in more areas. During the night and early morning on Thursday, dense fog will form in some places, significantly reducing visibility. Rain is still expected in parts of the country overnight, but precipitation will gradually ease, giving way to dry conditions. A light to moderate westerly wind is expected, becoming gusty along the coast. At night, temperatures will range between -2°C and +3°C, with slightly warmer conditions in coastal areas by Friday morning. During the day, temperatures will rise to between +8°C and +14°C in most parts of the country.
Saturday is expected to bring favourable weather — a dry and sunny day. On Sunday, however, skies will become overcast, and rain is expected in some areas. As warmer air moves in, the weekend will feel springlike, with temperatures in many places rising above +15°C on Saturday.
At the beginning of the new work week, the air will turn slightly cooler again, and cloud systems will bring rain to much of the country at some point.
