Eurozone’s economic confidence down in April

In April 2024, Eurozone Economic Confidence Index (EECI) went down to 95.6 points when compared to March’s result of 96.2 points, according to the latest data from the European Commission.
The European Commission notes that confidence went down in all surveyed sectors. However, it went up among consumers.
In the European Union EECI went down to 96.2 points in April. In March, for example, it was at 96.5 points.
In Latvia EECI went up from 98 to 98.2 points in April.
Data for Latvia indicates confidence went up in the services and retail sectors, as well as among consumers. It went down in the industrial and construction sectors.
In Lithuania the index went up from 96.7 points to 98.1 points. In Estonia there was a drop from 83.4 points to 81.6 points.
