Ukrainian drone strikes carried out between the 18th and the 23rd of July have damaged an estimated 8% of Wildberries’ warehouse infrastructure in Russia, according to Dialog.UA, citing Russian media reports.
The report says Ukrainian drones have almost completely destroyed Wildberries logistics centres in Elektrostal (250,000 square metres), Krasnodar (150,000 square metres) and Nevinnomyssk (120,000 square metres). Additional damage has also been reported at facilities in Kotovsk (100,000 square metres) and Voronezh (100,000 square metres).
Russian media estimate that rebuilding the damaged warehouse facilities could cost Wildberries at least 35.5 billion roubles (approximately 390 million euros), although the final figure will depend on the extent of the damage at the Voronezh site.
Voronezh Region Governor Alexander Gusev confirmed that the roof of a warehouse on the outskirts of Voronezh had been damaged
but did not identify the facility by name.
According to the report, Ukraine has increasingly targeted Wildberries logistics centres because they are allegedly being used to supply Russia’s military-industrial complex.
The strikes are also said to be placing additional pressure on the Russian economy. Russian media estimate that losses suffered by sellers following attacks on the company’s warehouses in Krasnodar and Nevinnomyssk could reach 120 billion roubles (approximately 1.3 billion euros).
