On Thursday, skies will be partly cloudy, with brief rain expected in many areas and thunderstorms possible locally, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
A light to moderate westerly to southwesterly wind will blow, becoming gusty in some coastal areas around midday and reaching up to 15 m/s. Daytime temperatures will rise to between +16°C and +20°C.
Rain is also expected across many parts of the country on Friday and Saturday, with heavy and prolonged rainfall possible in some areas, as well as local thunderstorms. A light to moderate southerly to southwesterly wind will blow, turning westerly to northwesterly in the morning. Along parts of the coast, winds will become moderately strong overnight, with gusts reaching 15–18 m/s.

At the end of the first week of September and into the beginning of next week, weather conditions in the region will continue to be influenced by cyclones. Rain bands will repeatedly cross Latvia, while winds will also become gusty. Daytime temperatures will reach between +14°C and +19°C, while overnight lows will mostly range from +9°C to +14°C.
