On Wednesday, cloud cover will slightly increase, with sunshine alternating with clouds. Dry weather will still prevail, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
In some areas, fog will form, significantly reducing visibility and persisting into the morning hours. Winds will be light at night, but during the day they will strengthen from the northwest and west. By the afternoon, gusts along the Gulf coast and in eastern regions will reach 15–17 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will drop to between -1°C and +4°C, while daytime temperatures will rise to as high as +13°C to +17°C, although coastal areas will be slightly cooler, around +7°C to +11°C.
On Thursday and Friday, a large cyclone will approach Latvia, bringing more frequent cloud cover and light precipitation. Rain is expected mainly in central and eastern regions, with the possibility of wet snow in the east. Winds will be moderate to moderately strong from the northwest and west, with gusts reaching 15–17 m/s across eastern and central regions on Thursday, and later also in western areas.
Nighttime temperatures will range from +2°C to +6°C, while on Friday it will become slightly cooler,
dropping to between -1°C and +3°C across most of the country.
According to the meteorological centre, precipitation will spread across the entire country over the weekend, including both rain and snow. Temporary snow cover is possible, which may make driving conditions more difficult. In addition, winds will strengthen nationwide, with maximum gusts exceeding 20 m/s.
Both at the end of the week and at the beginning of the next, nighttime temperatures in many areas will fall to or below 0°C, while daytime temperatures will become cooler, generally ranging between +5°C and +10°C.
