A total of 3 324 new Covid-19 infection cases were found in Latvia in the last 24 hours. 21 people have died, of which 14 were unvaccinated or hadn’t completed their vaccination course and seven were vaccinated.

The latest data from Lithuania reports 4 580 new cases. 1 271 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals.
The number of deaths caused by the coronavirus in Lithuania has reached 8 788 people.
9 175 Covid-19 tests were performed in Latvia in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Disease Prevention and Monitoring Centre (SPKC), which means the percentage of positive tests is 36.2%. 714 444 people have recovered from Covid-19 infection. A total of 5 544 people in Latvia have died from Covid-19 so far.
SPKC reports that the 14-day cumulative infection index per 100 000 residents is 3 025.9.
The National Health Service reports there are currently 953 Covid-19 patients undergoing treatment in hospitals. For 441 of those people Covid-19 is the main diagnosis, whereas for the rest it is a side-diagnosis.
