In another development in the exodus of Western companies from Russia, the hospitality platform Airbnb has announced stopping operations in the country. The US government increased its pressure on Russian state finances, British news portal The Guardian reports.
Airbnb confirmed on Tuesday, April 5, that it would be among many services firms to leave the Russian market after an announcement of its intentions in February. The US-based firm stated that guests would no longer be able to make new reservations and those starting on or after April 4 had been cancelled.

The US government increased its pressure on Moscow on Monday, April 4. It banned the Russian government from using its reserves of the more than USD 600 million (EUR 546 million) in US banks to pay holders of its sovereign debt, The Guardian reports.
