The sky will remain clear in eastern parts of the country in the morning on Monday the 29th of April. The amount of clouds in western parts will gradually increase. Some short-term rain is expected in western and central regions. Local thunderstorms are expected as well, as reported by Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
The wind will be slow to moderate. It may become strong in western and central regions in the afternoon. Daytime air temperature will reach +17° C… +22° C (+15° C… +16° C in coastal areas in Kurzeme).
On Tuesday and Wednesday the sky will be partly cloudy. Meteorologists predict short-term showers. On Tuesday in particular there could be a thunderstorm. Wind speed will be slow. On the night to Wednesday there could be fog in some areas. Air temperature at night is expected around +8° C… +13° C. At times air temperature may drop a couple of degrees below that. Daytime air temperature will reach +17° C… +23° C.
Anticyclone activity will remain in the second half of the week. This means weather conditions will be mostly calm and fair. The first days of May will be mostly dry.
Air temperature will remain similar to the start of the week. Closer to the weekend, however, air temperature will no longer exceed +15° C. At the beginning of next week, air temperature may drop below 0 C in some areas.
