Aid provided to Ukraine by NATO countries reaches EUR 112 billion

NATO member states have provided military, humanitarian and financial aid to Ukraine worth approximately EUR 112 billion, as announced by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
Since the start of Russian aggression thirty NATO allies have provided Ukraine with unprecedented support, and US as the largest ally plays an irreplaceable role, said Stoltenberg during a joint press-conference with US Secretary of state Antony Blinken in Washington.
European allies and Canada have also upgraded their support – together they have contributed more than half of all support provided so far. This includes tanks, modern anti-air systems and other military equipment.

European countries have also welcomed nearly five million Ukrainian refugees, have imposed unprecedented sanctions and have stopped using Russian gas and oil.

Stoltenberg added that Russia’s President Vladimir Putin can end the war today if he pulls forces from Ukraine and agrees to sit at the negotiations table. NATO secretary general admits: «But regrettably, we see no sign that Russia is preparing for peace. On the contrary, Moscow is preparing for new military offensives. So we must continue to provide Ukraine with the weapons it needs to retake territory, and prevail as a sovereign, independent nation.»
He warned that Russia’s victory would be a «tragedy for Ukraine», and this would create threats for the entire NATO alliance.
