Generally, western countries have promised Ukraine military aid worth EUR 80.7 billion. However, only ten of them have fulfilled their promise so far, Latvia included, as reported by German newspaper Bild with reference to a study by Kiel Institute for the World Economy.
Poland is in the lead when it comes to provision of military aid. This country has supplied 100% of its promised arms worth a total of EUR 1.8 billion. In absolute numbers Poland is second after US, which has supplied Ukraine arms worth EUR 2.33 billion or 38.4% of the promised EUR 6.3 billion.
Aside from Poland, countries that have fulfilled their promise of military aid include Latvia (EUR 220 million), France (EUR 160 million), Italy (EUR 150 million), Belgium (EUR 80 million), Luxembourg (EUR 50 million), Finland (EUR 30 million), Slovenia (EUR 10 million), Bulgaria (EUR 3.5 million) and Austria (EUR 3.3 million).

In absolute numbers US and Poland are followed by Britain, which is committed to supplying Ukraine with arms worth EUR 1.12 billion. The country has completed its promise by 90.7%. Canada has supplied 82.5% of its promised arms worth EUR 920 million.
Estonia has supplied 98% of its promised arms worth a total of EUR 250 million, Norway has provided 96% of its promised military aid worth EUR 450 million, Czech Republic has provided 88.9% of EUR 260 million, Netherlands has provided 84.9% of EUR 80 million, and Lithuania has provided 82.6% of EUR 50 million.
These countries are followed by Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Denmark and Australia.
Europe’s leading economy Germany has supplied Ukraine with arms worth only EUR 269 million, completing its promise by only 39.9%.
New Zealand has provided a modest amount of military aid (31% of EUR 3.6 million) and Greece has provided 5.8% of EUR 250 million.
At the same time, South Korea, Portugal, Romania and Croatia have yet to supply Ukraine with any of their promised arms.
