The government of Estonia this week continues lifting the epidemiological restrictions related to the digital Covid-19 certificate. From February 14, the document will no longer be necessary to attend outdoor events, Estonian public broadcaster ERR reports.
The spread of Covid-19 in Estonia remains very high and the dominating variant of the coronavirus is reported to be Omicron.

Estonian Culture Minister Tiit Terik announced the decision on Tuesday, February 8. «Last week, I asked the [government’s] Scientific Council to assess the need for a Covid-19 certificate for outdoor events and proposed that the requirement for a coronavirus certificate for outdoor sports be removed,» Terik noted.
«This means that from Valentine’s Day, the Covid-19 certificate will no longer be required for outdoor events,» stated the minister.
He also pointed out that in the context of the lifting of the restriction, all organizers and hobby athletes have to continue focusing on safety and how to protect themselves from the coronavirus, ERR reports.
