On Friday, skies will be cloudy and brief rain is expected in many areas, although the sun will still make occasional appearances, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
Light to moderate south-westerly and southerly winds will prevail, becoming moderately strong along the coast. Coastal winds will be gusty, reaching up to 16 m/s overnight and 15–18 m/s during the day.
The night will be rather chilly, with temperatures falling to +8°C to +13°C across most of the country, while coastal areas will be a few degrees warmer. During the day, temperatures will rise to +15°C to +19°C.
On Saturday, skies will be partly cloudy. Brief rain is expected in many areas overnight, but only in some places during the day.
Light to moderate southerly and south-westerly winds will prevail, while moderately strong south-westerly and westerly winds are expected along the coast.
Coastal gusts will reach up to 15 m/s overnight and 15–18 m/s during the day.
Overnight temperatures will fall to +10°C to +12°C, while along the coast they will range from +12°C to +16°C. Daytime temperatures will rise to +16°C to +18°C.
On Sunday, the weather will be mostly cloudy. Rain is expected in western and central regions overnight, spreading across the entire country during the day. Heavy rainfall is possible in some areas.
Wind gusts of up to 15–17 m/s are also expected along the coast on Sunday. Overnight temperatures will range from +14°C to +17°C, falling to +10°C to +13°C in eastern regions. During the day, temperatures will reach +15°C to +19°C.
During the first half of next week, the gusty winds will ease and conditions will become calmer, although periods of rain will continue. Temperatures are expected to remain within a similar range to the preceding days.
