On Monday, skies will be cloudy, although they will begin to clear in north-western areas in the afternoon. Rain is expected at times across most of the country. With light winds prevailing, fog will thicken in some areas overnight and in the morning, significantly reducing visibility. Temperatures will fall to +10°C to +15°C overnight and rise to +15°C to +19°C during the day, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
On Tuesday, skies will clear more frequently and precipitation will gradually ease, with brief rain expected only in some eastern and central areas. With light winds prevailing, fog will form in many places overnight and in the morning. Minimum temperatures will range from +7°C to +13°C overnight, with warmer conditions along the coast, while daytime temperatures will reach +16°C to +19°C.
On Wednesday, the sun will occasionally appear between the clouds, and conditions will remain dry across most of the country.
In the afternoon, a large area of precipitation will approach Latvia from the west, bringing rain only to the sea coast on Wednesday, but to almost the entire country on Thursday. Winds will remain light on Wednesday night, allowing fog to form in some eastern areas in the morning. During the day, winds will gradually shift to the south and south-west and strengthen,
with gusts reaching 15 m/s in coastal areas on Thursday.
Minimum temperatures on Wednesday night will be similar to those of previous days. On Thursday night, as cloud cover increases, temperatures will remain at +12°C to +16°C. Daytime temperatures are expected to range from +16°C to +19°C.
Precipitation will increase towards the end of the week, although Friday may bring only light rain in some areas. Temperatures will remain similar, at +11°C to +15°C overnight and +15°C to +20°C during the day. There is also a possibility that southerly and south-westerly winds will become gusty across a large part of the country over the weekend.
