On Thursday, the 10th of September, skies will be cloudy, with only occasional clear spells. Rain is expected across most of Latvia overnight and throughout the entire country during the day, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
In eastern regions, the rain will be prolonged. Local thunderstorms and heavy downpours are also expected.
Light to moderate southerly and south-westerly winds will prevail, shifting to south-westerly and westerly winds along the coast during the day. In coastal and western areas, gusts will reach up to 15 m/s during the day. Temperatures will remain between +13°C and +17°C both overnight and during the day.
On Friday night, skies will be overcast with occasional clear spells in many areas, while cloud cover will decrease during the day.
Brief rain is expected in many areas overnight and in the morning, with local thunderstorms and heavy downpours also possible during the night.
Light to moderate south-westerly and westerly winds will prevail, shifting to westerly and north-westerly winds
along the coast overnight. Gusts will reach 15–18 m/s in coastal areas overnight and in the morning. Temperatures will fall to +9°C to +14°C overnight and rise to +16°C to +19°C during the day.
On Saturday, skies will be partly cloudy, with light rain expected in some areas, mainly in western and central regions. Light to moderate westerly and south-westerly winds will prevail. Overnight temperatures will fall to +7°C to +11°C, and to +11°C to +15°C in coastal areas, while daytime temperatures will reach +16°C to +19°C.
On Sunday and at the beginning of next week, precipitation will increase, with rain expected across many areas. Light to moderate winds will prevail, while daytime temperatures will remain between +15°C and +19°C.
