On Wednesday, the 9th of September, brief rain is expected in western and some central regions, with thunderstorms possible during the day. Light to moderate southerly winds will prevail. Overnight temperatures will remain between +11°C and +16°C, while daytime highs will reach +21°C to +26°C. It will be slightly cooler in some coastal areas, with temperatures of +18°C to +20°C, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
On Thursday, prolonged rain is expected in eastern regions from the first half of the night until the afternoon. From the morning onwards, brief rain will occur across most of the country, with locally heavy downpours and possible thunderstorms. Light to moderate southerly and south-westerly winds will prevail, shifting to south-westerly and westerly winds along the coast.
In coastal areas, wind gusts will reach 15–17 m/s. Temperatures will remain between +13°C and +18°C both overnight and during the day.
On Friday, rain is expected across many areas, with local thunderstorms and heavy downpours possible overnight.
Light to moderate, and in some places moderately strong, south-westerly and westerly winds will prevail overnight, with gusts reaching 15–17 m/s. Winds will ease slightly during the day. Overnight lows will range from +9°C to +14°C, while daytime temperatures will rise to +15°C to +19°C.
Atmospheric pressure will increase over the weekend, bringing less precipitation and more frequent sunny spells. Temperatures will reach +15°C to +20°C.
