Although cloud cover will increase, dry weather is expected to continue across Latvia over the coming days.
On Tuesday skies will be mostly clear overnight, with cloud cover increasing during the day. Despite the additional clouds, no precipitation is expected. Winds will remain light, allowing fog to form in some areas overnight and during the early morning hours, reducing visibility. Overnight temperatures will range from +9°C to +14°C, while some locations along the Gulf coast will remain milder at +15°C to +16°C. During the day, temperatures will rise to +24°C to +27°C across most of the country, while coastal areas will see highs of +19°C to +23°C, according to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
On Wednesday, variable cloud cover is expected. From the afternoon onwards, western and central parts of the country will see brief showers, with isolated thunderstorms possible. Winds will remain light, meaning fog may once again develop overnight and in the morning in some areas. Night-time temperatures will fall to +11°C to +16°C, while parts of the coast and Latgale will remain warmer at +17°C to +18°C.
During the day, under bright sunshine, temperatures will climb to between +25°C and +29°C,
while many coastal areas will reach +21°C to +25°C.
On Thursday, skies will be mostly cloudy overnight with only occasional clear spells, while cloud cover will decrease during the day. Brief showers are expected in some areas, mainly in eastern Latvia, with isolated thunderstorms also possible. Winds will remain light, although a light to moderate southwesterly to westerly wind will develop along the coast. Overnight temperatures will range from +17°C to +20°C, while daytime highs will reach +24°C to +29°C, with coastal districts remaining slightly cooler at +20°C to +23°C.
Toward the end of the week, skies will often remain cloudy, bringing periods of rain to different parts of the country. From Friday, a cooler air mass will gradually move into Latvia, resulting in noticeably lower temperatures over the weekend, with daytime highs expected to range between +17°C and +22°C.
