On Thursday, the 28th of November, weather conditions in Latvia will be dictated by cyclone activity. It will rain in many parts of the country at night, whereas during the day showers will be local. Wind speed will be slow. Fog may form in eastern parts of the country, according to Latvian State Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
Warm masses of air will remain, causing air temperature at night and during the day to stay between +1° C… +6° C.
The sky will be cloudy on Friday. However, the sky will become clear in some areas, mainly in the west. It will rain in many parts of Kurzeme. Eastern parts of Latvia, on the other hand, will see wet snow. The wind will be slow, so fog will appear in many areas.
Minimal air temperature will be at -1° C… +4° C. Daytime air temperature may reach +1° C… +5° C.
The weekend will pass under mostly dry weather. Wind speed will go up, however, especially in coastal areas, reaching a speed of 14 m/sec. At night, as the sky clears, air temperature may drop as far as -1° C… +3° C (warmer along the coast). During the day, however, air temperature will remain at +2° C… +7° C.
Weather will be similar at the beginning of next week – cloudy sky and local showers. Air temperature in most of the country will remain at around 0° C. In the second half of the week, however, air temperature will start going down. Snowing is expected in eastern parts of the country.
