On Tuesday, the 26th of November, weather in Latvia will be dictated by cyclone activity – a precipitation zone will pass through the country’s territory, bringing rain to many parts. Roads in some areas will remain slippery, as reported by Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
Wind speed will go up as well – up to 15-16 m/sec along the coast.
On the night to Tuesday, warmer masses of air will flow to the country. Peak daytime air temperature on Tuesday is expected to reach +2° C… +9° C.
Cyclone activity will go down around the middle of the week. Nevertheless, it will still rain in parts of the country. Wet snow and snow are expected in eastern parts on the night to Wednesday.
The wind will gradually slow down and will blow from the south. Air temperature will not drop below 0° C at night and during the day.
Precipitation will calm down around the end of the week. No significant precipitation is expected on the weekend either. Air temperature at night may drop as far as 0° C… -3° C. It may be warmer along the coast.
