Number of vacant jobs in Latvia exceeds average in the EU in Q3 2023

In Q3 2023 the number of vacant jobs in Latvia was higher than the average in the European Union, according to data published by Eurostat on Monday, the 18th of December. This data covers the average job vacancy rate, expressed as a percentage of the total number of available vacancies against all jobs in the economy – already occupied and vacant.
The level of vacant jobs in Latvia in Q3 was 2.8%. The biggest levels of vacant jobs in July-September was observed in Belgium (4.7%), the Netherlands (4.5%), Austria (4.2%), Germany (4.1%) and Czech Republic (3.5%).
The average level of vacancies in the EU was 2.6% in Q3. In Eurozone it was 2.9%.
Both in Lithuania and Estonia the vacancies level was 2%. The lowest vacancies level was in Romania and Bulgaria (0.8% in both).
