Russian “General Armageddon” seen in Moscow

Russian General Sergei Surovikin, believed to be an ally of the now-deceased rebel Yevgeny Prigozhin, was seen in public, walking the streets of Moscow, for the first time since the Wagner armed uprising in June, Russian media personality Ksenia Sobchak told on Telegram on Monday, the 4th of September, reports Politico.
On Monday’s Telegram post, Sobchak wrote under a picture supposedly showing the Russian general and his wife Anna Surovikina:

“General Sergei Surovikin is out. Alive, healthy, at home, with his family, in Moscow.”

Sobchak is said to be President Vladimir Putin’s goddaughter.
General Surovikin, who is known for his tough military tactics, had been missing since the failed attempt by Wagner mercenaries to march on Moscow in June. He was believed to have known about the planned uprising by Wagner leader Prigozhin.
BNN previously reported that Surovikin was suspended as commander of Russia’s war against Ukraine, placed under house arrest and dismissed as the head of the State Aerospace Forces.
