Gemius research and technologies company’s annual internet users survey result shows that 39.6% of respondents have plans to celebrate Ligo in their or their friends’ summer home.
24% of respondents have plans to spend Ligo in their summer home in the countryside. Another 15% have plans to visit their friends or relatives for the celebration.
At the same time, the number of respondents who have no plans to celebrate Ligo this year.
18% of respondents said they will not be celebrating Ligo this year. This is the second most common response, Gemius notes. This index is up by 1.5 percentage points when compared with 2022.
11% of respondents said they will be celebrating Ligo in the city. This is 2.5% more when compared with 2022. The was a slight increase for the number of respondents that will be celebrating the holiday within city limits, attending public events or visiting friends and family – this response was given by nearly 7% of respondents.
Last year this index was at approximately 5%.
While approximately 3% of respondents will be working during Ligo or be absent from the country, 5% respondents have plans for outdoor activities and 2% plan to attend various outdoor events in greener parts.
9% of respondents still haven’t decided what they will do for Ligo.
This year’s survey was attended by 2 098 Latvian internet users. It was held between 16th and 19th of June using gemiusAdHoc internet survey.
