Residents of Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, went to shelters in the early morning of December 30, as air raid sirens sounded again, Reuters reports.
Shortly after 2 o’clock in the morning, Kyiv authorities sent out a warning on the Telegram messaging app about air-raid sirens and urged residents to go to shelters.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on the 29th of December that 54 Russian-launched missiles and 11 drones were intercepted on the territory of Ukraine during the day. He admitted that most of the country suffers from power outages, and the situation is particularly difficult in Kyiv, Odesa, and Kherson regions, as well as in the vicinity of Lviv.

Zelensky said.

The authorities indicated that more than 120 missiles were launched against Ukraine in the attack on the 29th of December attack, and more than 18 buildings and ten infrastructure objects were destroyed in the latest attacks, according to the report of the Ministry of Defense.
Britain announced on December 30 that it had handed over 1,000 metal detectors and 100 sets of bomb disposal equipment to Ukraine to help clear the land of landmines.
