34 000 refugees arrived in Estonia since February

In Estonia, since Russia invaded Ukraine, 34 883 war refugees have arrived and many of them continue their journey to other countries, Estonian public broadcaster ERR reports.
The data of the Estonian Police and Border Guard Board showed that a total of 23,075 people have applied for temporary protection.

The majority of Ukrainians have found places to stay. State or municipal authorities have provided accommodation for 4,384 people, including 1,678 children.
The war in Ukraine goes on and war refugees continue to flee to safety. Sunday, May 1, the arrival of 723 refugees was registered in Estonia. Of them 430 say they were in transit or planning to travel further, ERR reports.
