Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who has both criticised threats of continued Russian aggression against Ukraine and talked about the harmful economic effects of the military and diplomatic information from the US, has attended the Munich Security Conference and called for supporting the Ukrainian economy.
The office of the President of Ukraine reported on its website that Zelenskyy attended the 58th Munich Security Conference in Germany of the weekend. Zelenskyy pointed out in his address that Ukraine has been in a tense situation for many years, but today the risks have increased due to the significant concentration of Russian troops on our borders. However, the Ukrainian defence forces understand everything and do not react to provocations, according to the Ukrainian President.

As to the ways, how Western countries could help Ukraine, Zelenskyy called on international partners to increase assistance to our country. «Strengthen our army, our economy. Invest in our state. If you are afraid – provide us with cheap money. Is there another country in the world with such an army near its borders, which is still making reforms?» the Ukrainian President noted, as quoted in the press release.
