West prepares more than 60 000 Ukrainian troops

Since the start of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine Western countries have trained more than 60 000 Ukrainian troops, as reported by member of the German Bundestag Roderich Kiesewetter.
The politician from the Christian Democracts party told ZDF that most of the Ukrainian troops trained by the West will return to their home country in May and June.

Kiesewetter described Ukrainian troops as “very resourceful”,

especially when it comes to intelligence network-related topics. “We could learn something here,” said the politician who served in the German army, worked in NATO and the German Ministry of Defence.
At the same time, German Minister of Defence Boris Pistoriuss said Germany is providing the largest amount of support when it comes to the training of Ukrainian military personnel, especially commanders and junior officers.
After the start of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on the 24th of February, many Ukrainian troops were sent to train in other countries. Britain was the first to offer training for Ukrainian troops, because many mobilised men either have no military experience or had served in the army a long time ago.
Ukrainian troops are trained across the entire European continent, from Spain to Poland. Instructors from as far away as New Zealand participate in their training. Western allies provide training in various fields.
